ePacks, eLarders and eTransits
ePacks are the base elements of a broad concept for distribution systems that avoid the waste and harm from modern packaging, yet give major advantages for urban living. eLarders are the devices, within the home, for managing ePacks of many kinds. eTransits are the vehicles for moving the eShelves that hold the ePacks.
Concepts
The concepts of ePacks were developed by David Hirst while working with Ernst & Young, and the original concept document (in .pdf) is downloadable from here.
(The Adobe Reader can be downloaded free and the Adobe web site has further "accessibility" tools).
David is an Inventor and Independent Management Consultant in Sustainability and IT, and eLarders is one broad concept that he advocates when considering sustainable housing solutions.
